I am Alex
Shpigel and my clinic, Shpigel Acupuncture, is located in the Mission Valley area of San Diego, CA.
I am a licensed
practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine which includes Acupuncture, Herbalism,
Tui Na Massage and Longevity Exercises. I also specialize in the treatment
of sports injuries and pain management, specifically the major problem areas
of the back, neck, shoulder, hip, knee and ankle (see About
Me for my background).
The basic goal of Chinese Medicine is to achieve balance within the body and
mind. External forces like weather, smoking or poor diet, and internal
forces like anger, worry or fear, constantly act upon us in ways that throw
us out of balance, making us more susceptible to illness and injury.
Traditional Chinese Medicine works to restore and maintain this balance.
This system is so well established that its' records go back for 2,500 years
and nearly 2 billion people depend on it every day! There are hundreds
of conditions that can bring the body out of balance and several precise ways
to treat them. It is preventive in the purest sense.
